Bangladesh University of Professionals and Khon Kaen University Signed MoU to Enhance Academic Collaboration

In a significant step towards strengthening international academic cooperation, the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Khon Kaen Business School, Khon Kaen University (KKBS), Thailand. The agreement aims to promote mutual collaboration in education, research, and cultural exchange between the two institutions.
The MoU was officially signed at a ceremony held at Naphapailin Room, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, attended by distinguished faculty members, researchers, and administrative representatives from both universities. The event was graced by Lieutenant Colonel S M Zobaer Alam, psc, Associate Professor & Chairman, Department of Business Administration- General, FBS, BUP and Asst. Prof. Pongsutti Phuensane, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University along with other key officials who emphasized the importance of fostering global academic partnerships.

The agreement lays the foundation for collaborative activities in multiple academic areas, including:

  • Exchange programs for faculty members and students to enhance cross-cultural learning experiences.
  • Joint research projects and publications focusing on contemporary business and economic challenges.
  • Organization of seminars, conferences, and workshops on business, management, and entrepreneurship.
  • Scholarship opportunities and joint thesis supervision to provide practical exposure to students.

Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant Colonel S M Zobaer Alam, psc, Associate Professor & Chairman, Department of Business Administration- General, FBS, BUP expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This MoU marks a new chapter in BUP’s vision for global academic excellence. Partnering with KKBS will open new avenues for our students and faculties to gain international exposure and contribute meaningfully to the global academic community.”

Similarly, Asst. Prof. Pongsutti Phuensane, Dean of KKBS, highlighted the significance of this partnership, saying, “Khon Kaen Business School is committed to fostering meaningful academic relations across borders. We believe this collaboration with BUP will facilitate knowledge exchange, research advancements, and student mobility that will benefit both institutions.”
