Drug Addiction: Awareness and Prevention

The Faculty of Medical Studies hosted a seminar on ‘Drug Addiction: Awareness and Prevention’ on September 10, 2023 at Bijoy Auditorium. The Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain was Present in the program. The Dean of Faculty of Medical Studies, Brigadier General Neelima Akhter, SGP, MPhil, MPH was the keynote speaker of the event. The main objective of the event was to spread knowledge and raise awareness about drug addiction among the students. The keynote speaker discussed in-depth about the present state of drug addiction, the harmful effects of drugs, its treatment and prevention. A total of 305 individuals, including students from all departments took part in the program. The student participated effectively in the "Question-Answer Session." At the end, the esteemed guest Pro-Vice Chancellor gave his concluding remarks and thanked everyone for attending the program.
