20 May 2025

As part of the academic requirements for the course LAW 1102: Law of Contract, the students of the 10th batch from the Department of Law under the Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), undertook an academic field trip to Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd. Corporate office on 20 May 2025. The visit was conducted under the supervision of esteemed faculty members and batch advisors, Assistant Professor Md Abu Bakar Siddique and Assistant Professor Preeti Kana Sikder.

Upon arrival, the delegation received a warm and gracious welcome from the Walton team. The reception was attended by several high-ranking officials of the organization, including legal advisors, senior human resource personnel, and other distinguished professionals. The event commenced with a series of welcome remarks from Walton representatives, which fostered a cordial and intellectually stimulating environment.

A key highlight of the visit was an interactive Question and Answer session, during which members of Walton’s legal and HR departments responded thoughtfully to questions posed by the students. This exchange provided invaluable insights into the practical application of contract law within a corporate framework, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world legal practices.

Following the session, students were given a guided tour of Walton’s production display room, offering them the opportunity to observe the organization’s technological innovations and manufacturing processes firsthand. This experiential learning component significantly enriched the students’ understanding of corporate operations and legal compliance in a business setting.

The academic field trip proved to be a highly beneficial and enlightening experience, equipping students with a deeper appreciation of contract law in action and enhancing their preparedness for future professional engagements.
