The 2nd international conference on ‘Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICICT4SD)’ was launched at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) on 21 September 2023. Honourable Minister of Education, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Dr. Dipu Moni, MP inaugurated the conference as the chief guest through video tele-conference. Vice Chancellor of BUP Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD was present in the ceremony as the chief patron. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi bin Zamli, Professor and Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Malaysia Pahang, Mr. Kamal Quadir, CEO bKash Ltd, Mr. Yasir Azman, CEO, Grameenphone Ltd, and Dr. Mohammad Abdur Razzaque, Director, Research & Policy Integration (RAPID) delivered keynote papers in the inaugural ceremony. BUP military and civil high officials, faculty members, students along with invited guests from home and abroad attended the ceremony.

Besides organizing this three-day-long international conference, Department of Information and Communication Engineering of BUP has also arranged an industry exhibition to foster a congenial environment in exchanging scientific, technical, and engineering ideas amongst academia and industries.
