Faculty of Medical Studies (FMS) of BUP is running course curriculum of three batches for its Master of Public Health (MPH) program. As part of the training program, the students of Batch-1 and Batch-2 participated in a field visit to ‘Bhanga Upazila Health Complex’ and local ‘Bamunkanda Community Clinic’ on 15 July 2023. The field visit was attended by 78 individuals in total, including students, military personnel, civilian teachers/officials, and assisting staffs. The Dean of FMS Brigadier General Neelima Akhtar, SGP, MPhil, MPH participated in the program to inspire the students and imparted knowledge to them to understand the functions of our healthcare system. During the visit, the students gained firsthand knowledge about the upazila health complex and the local community clinic. The students also visited the departments of the health complex and spoke to the doctors and the patients. It is observed that the field visit greatly helped MPH students to understand the healthcare system of Bangladesh.
