BUP Finance Society, in association with the Dhaka Stock Exchange, successfully concluded an exclusive seminar session titled "Overview of the Capital Market: Education for Future Leaders." The seminar, which took place on July 25, 2023, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the Department of Business Administration in Finance and Banking and other departments of business studies.

The main objective of the seminar was to equip university students with comprehensive knowledge about the capital market and its role in shaping the financial landscape. The seminar was honored to welcome Brig Gen Mohammad Monir Hossain Patwary, psc, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Bangladesh University of Professionals, as the esteemed Chief Guest. His speech added immense value to the event, inspiring students to excel in their academic pursuits and future careers.

The event commenced with an enlightening keynote speech delivered by Md. Samiul Islam, Senior General Manager of the Market Development Division at the Dhaka Stock Exchange. In his speech, he emphasized the fundamental importance of capital markets in driving economic growth.

Following the keynote speech, Mr. M. Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar, FCA, FCMA, the honorable COO, and Acting Managing Director, shared his invaluable expertise and further insights on the functioning and potential of capital markets.

Delving deeper into the subject, Mr. Saied Mahmud Zubayer, Head of Issue Marketing, Promotion, and Debt Market at DSE, delivered a captivating presentation. His presentation shed light on various aspects of capital markets, including the market, investment instruments, and other aspects related to the capital market.

The Chairman of the Department of Business Administration in Finance & Banking, Associate Professor Dr. Jannatul Ferdous, and the Club Moderator, Farhana Yasmin, and Co-Moderator MD. Nafizur Rahman was present, along with all the faculty members of the Finance & Banking Department.

Throughout the seminar, the students were engaged in a comprehensive learning experience, gaining valuable insights into various aspects of the stock market.

An interactive quiz session followed the presentations, adding an element of excitement to the event.
